| 2,000 years ago, there was a terrible war in the spiritual realms. Accounts of the conflict are sparse, hidden beneath the sands of time, but one thing is clear: two thousand years ago, the ancient gods who had brought knowledge and prosperity to the world of Calliden went silent. Mankind was ravaged by the relentless pursuit of power and the devastating acts of vengeful spirits. But the faithful still cried out to the gods, and after more than 1,000 years of chaos and bloodshed, the world's first oracle gained the Sight and brought back the voice of the gods. It was she who named the first Imperatore, and together they began restoring order. Society began to rebuild itself, finding a new and glorious form. Calliden was reborn. |
