| deception - The use of deceit, the state being deceived, a ruse. Deception is what twisted the Garden of Eden and drove Adam and Eve into the darkness beyond. Deception is what starts as that little white lie to protect someone's heart, and turns into a convoluted web of falsehoods Deception is what takes something sweet and twists it, staining it dark and dingy and making the white lace a muddy rag. Deceptions is based in the RL geographical area of Washington State, USA, in Puget Sound. Approximately the same place that Whidbey Island is located. Close enough to Seattle to be convenient, yet far enough away to maintain a bit of the wild rawness. The area wasn't settled until the late 1800's, so there is still a great deal of 'untouched' about the area. Things here on Deceptions are a bit more of a contrast, with few of the stereotypes found on many muxes. Elysium is not a museum. The Techno Construct is not a Horizon Realm. The creation of this slice of Darkness was done with creativity with quality descriptions designed to bring you fully into the experience with all five senses. We support Mage 2nd, Vampire 3rd, Werewolf 2nd, and Changeling 2nd eds with a few limitations and additions. We do accept limited applications of Hengeyokai and Kindred of the East.
