| Legends and Lore is a roleplaying mud with a heavy emphasis on Player-Killing and clan interaction. There are currently eight clans to choose from, based on your desire to protect the innocent, overthrow the gods, punish lawbreakers, cause panic and confusion, or take over the world, spreading darkness and despair. Whatever role you wish to play, you're likely to find allies with common goals and ambitions within these clans to help you achieve your aim. We're a very newbie-friendly mud, with veteran players always willing to help out new ones and a unique newbie option that allows new players to explore the world and learn the ropes without having to worry about getting PK'd. We have active coders and builders on staff, generating about one new area a month. New skills and spells are added all the time. We are a long way from the original Icey Depths 0.9 codebase we started with. The game mechanics get more complex all the time. Players really enjoy our IMM run quests like Soul Gathering, and Invasions.
