| Back and forth doth the Pendulum swing. A never ending shift from Darkness, to Light, to Darkness once again. Through the centuries the Pendulum hast swung its unending metronomic course, never waivering from its predestined path. Wars arose and bequelled themselves as did times of great prosperity gave way to times of balance, to times of utter despair and back to balance and prosperity again. The Pendulum swings, the world changes, the names and faces of the powers of the world change, but they doth fill the same roles as their ancestors, the battle between the Darkness and the Light, the existence of the world in what it knows as life. |
