| The Forgotten Realm As you may have realised, this is not only the name of a game, but also of a mythical place in which humans and other creatures live their natural lives. You play a typical adventurous and greedy human, and your main aim is to finish with as high a score as possible. This allows you to use many spells and magical abilities to alter the course of the land. If you should ever reach the hallowed rank of 'Immortal' (either Wizard or Witch level), then you will be granted fantastic powers over the entire land. On your journey here you will have heard a lot of gossip and hearsay about the land. Here is a summary of that "gossip"! The Forgotten Realm is a land in which various towns and villages surround the lake of Watersmeet (so named as it is the confluz of the various rivers and streams which flow from the encircling mountains and valleys) It is believed that the lake has some mystical properties which are derived from the many potions and liquids spilled into the rivers and streams throughout the ages. All of this, of course, is simply gossip; believe it if you will. The only way you will ever know for sure, is to find the secret of the lake, if one exists! |
