The Trolloc Wars have ended, leaving behind it a dozen smouldering fires of trouble that need to be addressed. From the ashes of the Dark territory two new nations rise. One joins the World Alliance and stands to take its place among the nations. The other faces down the world: the nation of Malkier believes it has a defense against the taint of saidin, and harbors male channelers. Manetheran is carved into peices, the fallen nation given to the others. Around the world the dispossessed survivors of the once proud red eagle raise their hands and voices in protest. Rumors come out of Almoren and the nations that another war, a war of empire, is brewing. The bloodsoaked world holds its breath, waiting.
