| Hogwarts Express MUSH is a Harry Potter themed game set as a prequel to the books (1970s). Characters are original as a rule, although book characters are in the background and occasionally appear for RP. We Offer planned TPs and spontaneous RP for both adult and student characters, newbie friendly environment and an excellent staff. We also have a coded Quidditch system. Regular student and adult characters undergo a simple chargen and approval process. Feature-type characters are by a short application. We are actively recruiting for most IC postions! The defeat of Grindelwald in 1945 has heralded a peace within the wizarding world that has stood for three decades. A generation of magical families has been born, enjoying the relative safety and quiet. But the headlines speak of new evil as murders, crimes of passion, and monster sightings are on the rise. Lord Voldemort, a strikingly seductive figure has started his rise to power, calling faithful wizard and witches to be Death Eaters to his side in increasing numbers. He appeals to those who wish to let the world know that magic exists, to those who yearn for the power and wealth that would bring, and those who search for immortality. The Ministry has found itself caught unawares, divided within itself, and is doing its best to supress information regarding the villian, not having gotten any substantial evidence on even his existance. People are very frightened of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Professor Dumbledore is one who will not be caught offguard by the growing darkness. He moves to protect the future of the wizarding world: the students currently attending his school, Hogwarts. Most of the students have heard the whispers; within the past year, the Dark Mark has been seen over the school. But even that doesn't slow down the race for the house and Quidditch cup, the taking of examinations or the endless list of homework required by the teachers. Embark on an adventure of a lifetime during the mid-1970s. Help Lord Voldemort in his rise to power or be a part of the Ministry as they scramble to maintain control. Maybe you wish to find yourself in the original Order of the Phoenix. Or perhaps, just perhaps you'd rather spend your time attending classes and winning points for your house at Hogwarts by playing Quidditch.
