Conversations get me to posting for whatever reason. Have another one.

In short, many of us who spend time here deride the 'railroad plot.' So I figure 'let's share some stories!' But I also know enough of us have that inner 'troublemaker' where we get a certain pride in derailing those kinds of things.

So!

1) Describe the scenario and what made it feel like a railroad plot.
2) What did you do to muck things up?
3) How did the person in charge react?
4) Did you learn anything from the experience?
5) Did the GM learn anything?

And hey, if you're a GM that ran one of those plots or want to revisit your early days, feel free. Tabletop experiences are also welcome. I'll post mine in a bit, but let someone else have the first go.
