For the SMAUG codebase is there any import for having the trust set 0 as opposed to 65 if you are the Supreme Entity?
To my knowledge I haven't had any visible problems of yet even though my trust is at 0. Nostrum "The Supreme Monkey Boy" |

Not in the version I'm using, at least.. It doesnt takes away any of the commands you already have due to your level..

The only kind of trust I've seen is for immortals for editing different areas. Other then that, trust really doesn't seem to do anything.

Having the trust set to 0 just denotes that the player/immortal should have whatever commands/capabilities that are native to their level. It's default and is generally what you would set the trust to after a temporary elivation in privelige (i.e. you trust a level 64 immortal at 65 while you're on vacation then come back and set it to 0 again).

So changing it back down to 0 will not affect the pfile..i.e. corruption or a crash? If i understood correctly that will allow me to put the MU* in trusted hands while i am busy with 'things', and then i can alter it by simply lowering it again. Great! Now i just need to find some staff that isnt joining the military or can be online without parental restrictions...Thanks again to everyone for all their help.

Quick problem, if you trust someone to level 65 and you are level 65 and that is the highest level on the MUD, you will not be able to remove or lower thier trust once you set it. You would have to manually log into shell and readjust their pfile while they are offline. It is the same as if you advanced them.

I made a test character and adjusted up to 65 and i see what you mean. 64 seems to be optimal. At least at that level I can still lower it without going into the shell.
