Greetings,

Effective immediately, OtherSpace is going to quit rejecting sub-par character concepts.

Instead, we will have two levels of approval.

If your concept doesn't quite demonstrate enough familiarity with the theme, the character will be approved for participation in the Realm of the Dream, where deceased characters, current characters and other new characters like yours hang out and can engage in freeform roleplaying without any rules. You'll have the option to make revisions for approval to the in-character, out-of-dream world of OtherSpace whenever you feel like it.

If your concept fits just fine, you'll be approved for the in-character world of OtherSpace, and you can play there or in the Realm of the Dream - whatever mood you happen to be in and whoever happens to be around.

In the past, we've outright rejected certain concepts without a second thought, and while that preserves the sanctity and continuity within the IC world, it can have a chilling effect on newcomers who might, with some encouragement and practice, eventually fit right in.
