As a player and administrator on ShadowLight for a few months now, I must say this is really a player’s Mud. The owners have successfully combined the best of both words, literally, with a hybrid Rom/Godwars codebase and a Medieval Clanwars theme. The Mud is role play enforced with an element of clan-based player killing, offers 100 levels and tons of special features, including global socials, a crafting system, setable recall, a role play and questing reward system, a claim feature and much, much more.

The immortals and players are friendly alike and provide a wonderful atmosphere for all, whether they be new or old to mudding. Aside from many immortal sponsored quests and role play events, the Mud also offers an array of automated ‘Questmasters’ whom send players on a multitude of quests. The storyline is easy to follow and interactive: player’s actions and experiences actually can and do alter and change the storyline as well as help it evolve.
