- Immortal University Creative Writing Contest 2004

Congratulations to the winners of the creative
writing contest. Each winner gets their names and
URLs plastered via this news release on many different
websites. In addition, they all get their URLs posted
on Immortal University's website for no less then
three months. The first place winners gets their
website's image and URL posted on MudWorld for no less

The OpenIMC Network is an open-access IMC2 (Intermud
Communications Protocol version 2) network that is
administered by the people who run the servers. An
intermud network is similar in concept to an IRC
network, except that the muds themselves connect to
the network, instead of individuals.



Pupware Hosting provides low cost hosting services
starting at $5 per month. The system is owned and run
by long-time MU* owners and programmers. We also offer
a web-based support forum where you can post your
questions and problems to be answered by either our
experienced support team, or one of our other
knowledgable clients.



The TowerMUD V2 Project is intended to be the
next-generation open source MUD server. Our goal is to
solve many of the problems that have come to light in
the current codebases and end with a very highly
customizable codebase.

Ever thought it would be nice to have some type of

Incidentally, I just noticed mudworld displays banners for the two category winners now, while the original contest specs said that was a reward for the overall winner. I sure am happy for the bit of extra promotion, but it seems unfair towards Illuvatar.

And yes, this is also a shameless bump over all the recent spam.

Thanks guys for the extremely nice words and I thank you for the wonderful stories you submitted. Actually ALL the stories were worth reading and I'm especially proud of the the Judges and Ntanel for taking the time to make the contest happen. It's really tough to be a judge and equally as challenging to do all the work necessary to run a contest like that.
