I made a few MUD-related comics myself a few years ago (used to be a cartoonist many years ago). I should dig around for them.

MUD comics usually aren't all that funny to non-players, it's sad really. Oh well, here's one that an Armageddon player made:

Yeah, the lack of a common point of reference tends to get in the way. That's why everyone should MUD. Take to the streets, my minions, and spread the message of the MUD!

I flipped through some of the links on this thread, and I think the problem is that only players of the one MUD being discussed would 'get it'. They're not really being written for MUD players in general.
I'm sure humor based on the finer points of powerwalking vs. running on Armageddon are hilarious if you know what they are and all, though. |

Update on the comics! Two and a half new ones!
Feedback appreciated. I know they're Avendar-specific, but hey - just play Avendar, and you'll soil yourself in spasms of hilarity. Guaranteed. |

I like baobob and I don't play Arm. A lot of it's humor applies to RPIs in general.

Yeah, Baobob was good until the last few comics when it started down the "our characters mean something" path in which the fat cow-thing or whatever he is, is probably going to end up holding the key to some magic spell. I wish he would just stick to the humor.

Update again, with several more! Woo.
Also, <shamelessplug> we're instituting a number of relatively exciting changes in Avendar. Put down the other stale MUDs and dial into avendar.com 9999. *cheesy, slightly demented grin* </shameless plug> |
