Hello,
I am looking for a MUD similar to Abandoned Relams or Aabrahan: the forsakenlands but, without the PK. I like the extended race and class selection that both MUDs offer and the skills for each class. I greatly enjoy the leveling and training system. The roleplay is average and I like the ability to join groups with others. The only thing I do not enjoy about these MUDs is the player killing. I am more of a co-op kind of gamer. I have tried playing these MUDs but the aspect of playerkilling pushes me away. So in short, are there MUDs out there similar to these but without the playerkilling. |

I'm not sure whether or not to recommend anything because I don't know what those other games do for leveling and such that you like so well.
Explain? ---Brett |

Leveling would be killing mobs(creatures) and gaining expierence till you get enough experience to get to the next level. Example 1000 exp till next level. You kill small bat you get 125 exp. Now 875 exp till next level. The skills system is using the skill over and over learning it better till mastery. Example would be skill bash. You practice it till 75% profiency and as you keep using it it would go up slowly 76% 77%. Another example would be the spell cure light. You practice it till 75% profiency then as you use it the higher the profiency. Hope that sheds some light.

Isn't that what almost all Muds do?

If there is a player killing range then that's player killing. I've tried many MUDS that claim player killing can only have serious role play reasons. The players dictate what they call "serious roleplay reason" which usually is "I wanted your equipment" So that is why I stress no player killing in the MUD I am looking for.

You may want to do a search by choosing the "restricted playerkilling" and "No playerkilling" options in the advance search here. Some of these muds are pkill optional: either you have to do something to turn on pkill (join a clan, type "pkill on", etc.) or it is restricted to certain areas that you can avoid, or just a single arena.
