Tourney & Rebellion in Westeros
Blood of Dragons MUSH, set in the low-magic, medieval-inspired fantasy world of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, is preparing for an interesting autumn.
This weekend (21st to 23rd of August) a tourney will be held at Storm's End to celebrate a wedding. The contest will see the first appearance on the tourney field of the newly formed chivalric brotherhoods -- the Brothers of the Battle, the Company of the Lance and the Sons of the Spear -- and that in light of this promises to be a particularly competitive event. Not the least since Princess Daena has announced her intentions to become the patron of these new brotherhoods, and to have herself and her ladies-in-waiting judge how well the participating knights perform on the field. But while the court at King's Landing enjoys such entertainments, a rebellion is brewing in the south. Almost three years have passed since King Daeron I, the Young Dragon, invaded and conquered Dorne, the last independent realm in Westeros. That conquest is soon about to come to a brutal, bloody end. Whether you want to play a knight (gallant or otherwise) or a lady, and whether you prefer to play in the royal court at King's Landing or in currently occupied Sunspear in Dorne, Blood of Dragons has plenty of characters available to choose from. Some are fully setup, allowing you to potentially enter play within minutes, whereas others are virtually blank slates, allowing you to tailor them to your own ideas.
