| A thousand years ago there was the Night of the Falling Star, when a great flaming beacon plunged down from the heavens to bury itself deep within shadows of the most ancient mountain peaks. It is said that the World was changed on that day, for new powers were born and previously unforseen threads of history set alight by the radiant tumult of the Falling Star's descent. Immortal MUSH is set in the city of Rhivarest: an ancient metropolis that lies at the heart of the World, rising as a fair yet terrible jewel amidst the waters of the hidden Inner Sea. Founded centuries ago by the legendary Rhiva, first of the Veiled Queens, Rhivarest is a place of power and intrigue, where mystery is abound, and both the wicked and the good make their residence. Founded as a haven for mature RPers, Immortal MUSH is intended as a place for people who want to play in an OOCly pleasant environment run by friendly Staff members, with a minimal amount of politics and bureaucracy. The theme is original fantasy (sometimes high, sometimes dark, sometimes very real), constructed in a logical and unique manner yet still wide open to the creative input of its players. Character creation is mostly unrestricted (save for a few key issues), and on Immortal MUSH, one can play anything from a scheming aristocrat to a sword-slinging mercenary to an honest tradesman to a common street rat. |
